Description
What You Will Do
- You'll be in charge of a product area's design. This entails guiding the area's future vision, ensuring that it fits into a unified overall Moni experience, and delivering on incremental steps to help the team get there.
- You'll be part of a multi-functional product team. From early discovery and user journey mapping to the execution of final UI design elements, you'll be in charge of all design artefacts produced.
- You'll have a thorough understanding of the people for whom you're designing. You'll endeavor to understand the what, why, and how of the challenges you're solving for, whether it's by participating in user research sessions, learning from prior insights, reading data reports, or conducting your own light research and analysis.
- You'll collaborate on a regular basis, relying on excellent communication, documentation, and facilitation skills. You'll collaborate closely with PMs, Engineers, Risk Analyst, User Researchers, and Writers to ensure that your team is not just delivering outstanding ideas, but also actively participating in the design process.
- You'll create polished, intuitive, and accessible user experiences (and advocate for them). You're pragmatic, recognizing when and when to make scope trade-offs based on technological restrictions, experimental strategy, or commercial risk while still delivering the ideal experience.
- At Moni, you'll contribute to raising the bar for design. We're a tiny but formidable team, and every designer contributes to the improvement of our team and of practice, whether it's by refining your craft skills, conducting some of our meetings, or providing excellent feedback.
- You'll engage with a design lead and product leadership on a frequent basis. This is to ensure that long-term strategy, company goals, and experience quality are all in sync, with ample opportunities for visibility and input.
