Job Summary

  • This role is responsible for the daily management and coordination of the factory operations including costing, production, pre-production, operations and ensure production runs reliably and efficiently.
  • This role manages the production staff and ensure increased productivity, assure quality, and mitigate production problems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and preparation of the strategy and general business planning of Production
  • Ensure to drive outcomes, profitability and disseminate feedback to the appropriate internal entities
  • Directly responsible for the factory operations including production, pre-production, operations, and logistics to achieve targets
  • Develop plans for the factory’s progress, production improvement and general growth
  • Plan and organize production schedules and work targets
  • Assessment of production projects and plan all resource requirements for production
  • Estimate, negotiate and agree production costing and timescales
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are met in the factory
  • Determine and execute quality control standards
  • Drive and ensure compliance of all production standard operating procedures
  • Ensure routine maintenance and repair of production equipment, tools and machines
  • Liaise and collaborate with the Buying/Procurement, Sales, Brands & Marketing Teams
  • Drive, manage, direct and monitor the overall performance of the factory
  • Maintain employee productivity records
  • Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
  • Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
  • Setting productivity goals for each team
  • Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
  • Drive performance development, coaching and general support of all team members to ensure targets are met
  • Supervise and manage the work the factory employees
  • Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff

  • First Degree from a reputable higher institution
  • Minimum of 8 years’ hands-on experience on similar role
