Job Description

  • Candidate for this position must have in-depth knowledge of different hydrocarbon transportation methods, geological skills, Operational and Technical Practices (OTP) in an E&P company with relevant onshore, offshore / swamp field experience, Gas Commercial, economic Modelling knowledge and Economic analysis for decision making.
  • The ideal candidates will be responsible for providing engineering arid design services required for the implementation of Oil and Gas related projects.
  • He will concentrate on optimizing the production of natural gas, or petroleum products arid value chain manage multiple concurrent projects, work in a team environment, and be able to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for supervising gas engineers, technicians, drafters.
  • Direct, review, coordinate and approve various engineering activities where applicable for various gas projects within the company.
  • Support management in the development of polices, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed within the company.
  • Coordinate production of gas project and engineering man-hour estimates to support business development.
  • Responsible for keeping up with industry changes and trends which may affect quality of gas engineering.
  • Perform flash calculations and verify system capacities with HYSYS software and determine temperature and pressure design parameters for process system, API 14C compliance report.
  • Review and update design basis report to the current system P&ID, process input to data sheet, line and equipment sheet.
  • Ensuring safety procedures and metering standards are maintained and strictly followed.
  • Participating in field development planning for development, gas negotiation, sales and marketing.
  • Champion the enforcement of standards and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

Qualifications and Required Competencies

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) / Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) Degree in a core engineering discipline or other science related disciplines.
  • A Master’s Degree or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in Gas Engineering and surface facilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Aut0CAD, MS Project.
  • Extensive technical capability.
  • Analytical thinking, problem solving, creativity.
  • Ability to explain complex processes in simple terms.
  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common business objective.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment; high energy and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and maintaining broad spectrum.
