Job Summary

  • Ingressive for Good seeks a Head of Fundraising to lead the organization into the next phase of growth. This person will be responsible for hitting our $1M fundraising goal in the next 6 months, and overseeing the deployment of funds to target communities in following years. We need this person to be knowledgeable about what these communities face and have experience raising donor capital from individuals, institutions and grant-making entities.
  • This position, an integral part of the I4G's advancement efforts, offers the opportunity to lead and build programs from the ground up as an “intrapreneur,” apply creative and critical thinking skills in a wide range of communications and projects that connect the Ingressive For Good community with its current and prospective benefactors. It will also include an element of “project management,” to oversee the team ensuring programs are fulfilled as relevant to keep commitments to donors, it will also include constant networking and donor relations, and The position reports to the I4G co-founders.

Essential Duties

  • Devise a fundraising strategy to be approved by the chief executive or senior leadership team
  • Agree a departmental budget and work to achieve or exceed a fundraising target
  • Coordinate and manage fundraising, comprising community, trust, corporate, major donor and digital fundraising, across the organisation
  • Line manage and motivate a team of fundraising managers and officers across different fundraising functions
  • If necessary, manage and motivate a team of volunteers who engage in fundraising activities
  • Build relationships with high profile and high net worth individuals as potential donors to the organisation
  • Build relationships with charitable trusts, foundations and other institutional funders
  • Write or approve funding applications to grants, charitable trusts, and foundations
  • Attend networking events and meetings with potential donors
  • Apply for grants and nonprofit awards
  • Create bite-size content to attract donors
  • Co-create annual ecosystem impact report with ED, Ingressive Capital Data Analyst and Content Team
  • Public speak and promote on social channels about Ingressive for Good and donation opportunities
  • Prepare reports and give presentations on fundraising progress to the senior leadership team and the trustee board
  • Continually improve donor onboarding experience and donor engagement
  • Build and execute campaigns and events for micro- and retail donors to contribute
  • Learn, follow, and promote the ethical guidelines set forth in the Association of Donor Relations for Advancement (ADRP), the Association of Advancement Services Professionals (AASP), the CASE Donor Bill of Rights, and the CASE Ethics Guidelines
  • Complete company board through support of Executive Director and Founding Board Members
  • Build pipeline of partners leveraged for capital and resources for target communities
  • Build multi-year donation partnerships
  • Work collaboratively with I4G co-founders and staff to compose letters, compile appropriate lists, engage featured donors, and other relevant correspondence
  • Maintain and update database of fundraising contacts
  • Constantly outreach to new donors leveraging current network and cold outreach via social platforms including but not limited to Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and various donor forums
  • Responsible for consistent, accurate, and appropriate information-sharing mechanisms for donors
  • Attract, build and develop relationships with new and existing corporate donors to secure long term and increased funding across a wide range of target markets
  • Lead the fundraise of $1M over the next 6 months
  • Keep team members accountable in deployment and execution of funds
  • Oversee a systematic and integrated donor relations and stewardship program that encompasses donor recognition, updates, and fundraising

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • A minimum of four (4) years of professional experience is required; higher education experience is preferred.
  • Candidates with fundraising, event management, and writing experience will be given strong preference
  • Education/experience equivalents considered
  • Strong interpersonal and written communications skills with demonstrated attention to detail and ability to relate to individuals at varying levels internally and externally
  • History of success developing and managing relationships with major donors, prospects, or clients
  • Computer software skills, including Microsoft Office and knowledge of integrated client database systems, is preferred
  • Professional in appearance, demeanor, and decision-making
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary
  • Well-developed customer-service orientation
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines at one time
  • Understanding of philanthropy as it relates to NGOs
  • Ability to use discretion in working with confidential and sensitive data
